How to improve your PUBG K/D

Raising your K/D is about winning more fights and surviving longer — both halves of the ratio. These are the highest-impact habits, and the quickest wins come from reviewing how you actually die. Not sure where you stand? See what counts as a good PUBG K/D first.

Most K/D gains come from fight selection and positioning, not raw aim — train the decisions, not just the flick.
  1. 1

    Land smarter, not hotter

Hot drops give kills but a low survival rate, which tanks K/D. Land on the edge of the cluster — close enough for early loot fights you can win, far enough to avoid third-parties.

  2. 2

Hold the high ground and angles

Most deaths come from being caught in the open or third-partied. Position with cover behind you, peek one angle at a time, and reposition after every kill so you're not pre-aimed.

  3. 3

    Pick fights you can win

Every fight you take has downside. Engage when you have the angle, the cover, or the numbers — and disengage when you don't. Avoiding a 50/50 you'd lose is K/D you keep.

  4. 4

    Survive the circles

Rotate early, before the blue zone forces you across open ground. Use vehicles and smokes to cross safely. Staying alive into the late game means more kill opportunities per match.

  5. 5

    Master one or two weapons

Consistent recoil control on a single AR (and a DMR for range) wins more fights than swapping guns constantly. Spend range time on your mains until the spray is muscle memory.

  6. 6

    Review your deaths

The fastest way to improve is to watch how you died. Replay your matches on FragHub's 2D viewer to see where you got caught, who third-partied you, and which fights you should have skipped.
